Most solar quotes are a panel count and a discount. Ours starts with a measured layout of your actual roof — orientation, pitch, shading and the yield that follows from them. You see the system before you buy it.

Why we start with a drawing

A quote you can check is worth more than a discount you can’t.

Two systems with the same panel count can produce very different amounts of power, depending on which way the roof faces, how steep it is and what casts a shadow on it in the afternoon. A number on its own hides all of that. A layout doesn’t.

So we survey the roof, model the shading across the year, and give you the drawing along with the price. If you take it to another installer for comparison, good — that is what it is for.

Site assessment

Roof measurement, pitch and orientation, switchboard inspection, and a shading study across the full year rather than the day we visit.

System design

Module layout, string configuration and inverter sizing, drawn to AS/NZS 5033 and AS/NZS 4777 and issued to you as a plan set.

Paperwork

Your distributor’s pre-approval, the rebate assignment, and the certificates lodged for you. We do not ask you to chase any of it.

Installation

Mounting, DC and AC work and switchboard changes, carried out by accredited installers to the drawing you signed off.

Connection and monitoring

Meter configuration with your retailer, commissioning against the designed output, and monitoring set up before we leave.

The sequence

Five steps, about four weeks.

Most of that is your distributor’s approval time, not ours.

Site assessment

We measure the roof and inspect the switchboard. About an hour on site, and you do not need to be home for the roof part.

Design and quote

You get the layout, the expected annual yield, the equipment list with model numbers, and the price with the rebate already deducted.

Approval

We lodge the connection application with your distributor. This is the part that takes the longest and it is out of everyone’s hands.

Installation

One day for most homes. Two if the switchboard needs upgrading or the roof has more than one plane in the design.

Commissioning

We test against the designed output, sort the meter change with your retailer, and show you how to read the monitoring.

Rebates

The discount is applied before you pay, not after.

Both federal schemes work the same way: you assign the certificates to us, we sell them, and the value comes off your invoice at the point of sale. There is no form to chase afterwards and no waiting for a cheque.
