How to verify us
Accreditation for solar installers in Australia moved to Solar Accreditation Australia, which took over as scheme operator from the Clean Energy Council. An installer’s accreditation number can be checked against the register, and it is worth doing — accreditation is what makes your system eligible for the rebate in the first place.

What is covered, and by whom
Three separate warranties sit behind a solar installation and they are commonly blurred together in sales conversations. They are worth separating, because they are backed by different parties.
Product warranty
From the panel and inverter manufacturers, against the equipment failing. Backed by the manufacturer, which is why the manufacturer’s likely lifespan matters as much as the number of years.
Performance warranty
From the panel manufacturer, covering how much output degrades over time. Usually a longer term than the product warranty, and a different thing entirely.
Workmanship warranty
From us, covering the installation itself — mounting, cabling, penetrations and the electrical work. This is the one that depends on the installer still being in business.
